MediaRover – Branding – 2010
In 2010, ReQuest realized that it would be possible to re-engineer our NetSync for iTunes software to work without a ReQuest server. This new product would simply keep an eye on all of the iTunes libraries in your family and synchronize all of the music to a central NAS or shared drive, making everyone’s music available to everyone else.
We launched it as a free product intending to monetize it later. I came up with the name MediaRover then ran with the idea of a little guy roaming around your house collecting music like a Mars Rover mixed with a Roomba.
